Don’t have an instrument? We can help!

We understand that one of the foremost concerns of participating in a community band is not having an instrument. As such, the Scarborough Society of Musicians is currently making arrangements to assist interested musicians in purchasing or renting an instrument of their own. As such, we have been researching various rental options on your behalf. We would like to recommend Cosmo Music.

Here is a quick breakdown of Cosmo Music’s rental options:

You may rent by:
- Month
- Semester (September-January, September-June)
- School Year (September-June)

Rent-to-own Programs:
100% of payments in first 3 months may be applied towards the purchase of the rental instrument or a new instrument of the same type. 50% of payments are applied from the third month onwards. However, this must be a continuous contract until you have enough to purchase the instrument or a new one (once you return the instrument, your saved credits are gone).

Standard Protection Plan (included with all rentals)
Covers the regular wear and tear and if instrument is lost will only have to pay a set amount instead of a full year of replacement.

Deluxe Protection Plan
For only $1.00 per month, the Deluxe Protection Plan will cover full repair or replacement cost of the instrument if damaged, lost or stolen.*

*We highly recommend the Deluxe Protection Plan

Contract Renewal
Renewing a School Year contract (September-June) will allow you to have the instrument during the summer months of July and August as well without additional charge.

This is a link to Cosmo Music’s 2007/2008 Rental Contract. Please note that this contract can be used again for the upcoming year. Please fill in the correct information and submit it to a Cosmo Music representative in their store. You will also find the payment options of Visa, Mastercard, Cheque, Debit or Cash on this contract.
